British Comedians

Remember-He he who laughs last.....Really didn't get the joke anyway...                                               Tommy Cooper

My name is Steve Burns and I live in Cardiff in the UK. I made this site up just for myself and I hope that anyone who gets to this site enjoys it. If you would like to know more about me and mine click on my other recently updated site, Dragon on the Web

This site started as a memory to the great Tommy Cooper. There are many out there that will have never have seen this genius on stage, but he was a true clown and his stupid jokes and magic tricks have made me howl with laughter. A page devoted to the great Tommy can be found in the ‘Cannon to Cooper’ list along with a page for his one liners. Many of the comedians featured here have passed on now and the only way they will be remembered is through the web.

And that started me thinking of all the other comedians that have given me joy and laughter over the years and I decided that I would make up this site.

Originally it was just going to be devoted to my favourites, but there are so many good comics out there that the site just grew and grew.

There are many in here that perhaps are not my favourites, but maybe yours. If you can think of one that I have not put in let me know by emailing me and I will do my best to put it in. The new software that I use makes it a lot easier to change pages than the old one.

The information for the comedians featured has mainly of course come from the Internet. Where it has I will put in the web site for the source.
